Morris Furniture
Morris Furniture have been manufacturing quality home furniture for 3 generations of the Morris family. A leading and well respected manufacturer, Morris produce a wide range of collections to suit all tastes and styles, with an emphasis on quality, longevity and practicality.
The site is designed to reflect the brand values and offer an excellent user experience, giving the customer the opportunity to explore the furniture, history and customer service the company is famous for.
Technically the site is built on a Drupal 5 CMS platform and is integrated with a custom made postcode based 'stockist locator' system. The front page features a Javascript based sliding DIV effect to allow the customer to quickly inspect furniture ranges. The site also features a blog for ongoing communication with customers, and an image gallery to allow existing customers to upload photographs of their Morris furniture and leave a comment.
Cameron McNeish
Cameron McNeish is one of the UK’s best known mountain walkers and commentators. He is the editor of the popular 'The Great Outdooors' magazine and regularly makes onscreen appearances in his TV show 'Wilderness Walks'. Cameron approached me to build a blog that would act as a communication channel between himself and those with an interest in the outdoors.
The blog is built on the Wordpress platform and allows Cameron to create regular written blogs, podcasts and video podcasts. Anyone with an interest in the outdoors will find the content on Cameron's website excellent - his site receives approximately 10,000 - 15,000 visits per month with 3,000 download of his podcasts.
Soundz
A 'next generation’ Flash application for exploring and purchasing music containing over 10,000 lines of Actionscript. Soundz is a dynamic interface allowing users to browse, search, listen to, compile and buy music. Considerable use of usability techniques such as user & scenario analysis, wire framing, prototyping and user testing were employed to deliver a stimulating and empowering experience for all levels of user ability. I was responsible for the whole project from conception, through design, testing and development.
Roc Office Furniture
Roc Office Furniture manufacture and supply office furniture for Government, Health and Education departments throughout the UK. The site is designed to conform to corporate branding requirements, and to provide an easy-to-use and engaging point of contact for new and exisiting customers.
Developed using standards based XHTML/CSS with PHP/MySQL, the site features a number of usability features such as the 'Quick Navigation' feature, also a password protected secure area allowing exisiting customers access to otherwise secure information.
G Plan Cabinets
G Plan Cabinets remain one of Europe's most famous domestic cabinet furniture brands. Often credited with inventing the concept of whole house furnishing - they once had a flagship London showroom in George Square, W1.
Today G Plan Cabinets remain a top quality brand manufacturing modern cabinet furniture - in fact G Plan has become something of a cult - a quick search on Ebay will bring up a huge selection of items manufactured in the past 60 years.
The site is designed to reflect the understated quality and sophistication of the furniture - the emphasis is given to the beauty and quality of each item. The site utilises a Flash based application allowing the user to explore a range plan for each collection, and a Javascript popup utility to view a detailed picture of each item.

Zone Furniture manufacture and wholesale contemporary domestic furniture to the UK consumer via retailers throughout the country. The site is designed to compliment the furniture through simple geometric styling and a fresh, contemporary look.
The site is built using standards based XHTML/CSS and PHP/MySQL - featuring an online 'stockist locator' tool allowing a user to enter their postcode and be presented with a list of their nearest Zone Furniture stockists listed with the closest first.
