As a designer I relish the opportunity to build something graphically stimulating and easy to use. I'm a firm believer in the principals of User Centred Design - the user is King (or Queen!) and their needs are paramount at every stage in the design and development process. Through my years as a web designer I have become an competent developer too - I code everything using XHTML and CSS to the best web standards to ensure accessibility and to boost SEO. I'm comfortable working with scripting languages, in particular PHP and MySQL - i'm no code monkey - but am quite happy to write simple scripts and 'lift the bonnet' on complex applications such as Drupal and Word Press.
